Two kinds of thing
Everything here is one of two things. The split is about what a thing is for, not about how it is built. A game can teach you as much as an app can, and two of the language tools are apps rather than games.

You keep track of something that matters to you. The app holds the record; the deciding stays with you.

Your data stays on your device
There is no account, because there is nothing to log in to. Each app saves to your browser's own storage and nowhere else: no server keeps a copy, and nothing about you is collected or measured.
That has a real cost, so it is worth saying plainly. Backups are your job. Every app can write its data out to a file from its settings, and if you clear your browser data, you clear the app with it.
One exception, for the sake of being exact: these pages load a typeface from Google Fonts. It is the only request that goes anywhere but this site, and it carries nothing you have typed.
Nothing asks for you back
No notifications, no mailing list, no ads, nothing to pay for. If you stop using one of these, nothing will chase you to come back. They are meant to be useful when you open them and silent when you do not.
The trackers also only know what you tell them. Nothing is measured on your behalf, which means the numbers are worth exactly as much as your honesty in entering them.
They keep working offline
The apps install to a home screen and run with no connection at all. That is not a feature added on top; it follows from everything already being on your device. There is nothing to wait for.
